Meetings: Usually every third Thursday, 7:00 p.m. at the Bristol City Hall, N. Main St., Bristol
Motto: "Our main goal is to equalize landlord / tenant laws through active participation in our communities and bring about a greater comprehension of the business of rental housing."
The Plymouth Property Owners Association is a subsidiary of the Greater Bristol Property Owners Association (GBPOA). Their goals as a nonprofit organization are to inform and educate communities on property, landlord, and tenant issues. They work diligently to preserve all housing to the degree that they would like all properties in our communities maintained and to encourage local rental residents to be responsible citizens. Income property owners need the community's understanding and support to gain a better chance at legally controlling their investment in order to preserve quality housing and neighborhoods. There is no better way to do that than to insist on responsibility of citizens, whether owners or renters.
General membership meetings are combined with GBPOA's and held at the Bristol City Hall, North Main Street, Bristol, usually on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Purpose: Whether they are called "Prayer Shawls", "Comfort Shawls" or Afghans, the knitters/crocheters begin each shawl with a prayer and blessing for the recipient. When the shawl is completed a final prayer is offered before it's sent on its way. These shawls are meant to be given away unconditionally and NOT sold for profit. Many blessings are knitted/crocheted into every shawl.
Some of the uses for the shawls are the birth of a baby, Christening, bridal shower gift, a comfort after a loss, prayer or meditation, during an illness and recovery, or a special birthday. There are endless possibilities.
The shawl is a beautiful symbolic gift of a loving God.
