Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corps

Plymouth Volunteer Ambulance Corps was established in 1968 to provide emergency medical services to Plymouth, Terryville, Pequabuck, and Plymouth Village. We also provide mutual aid services to the Town of Thomaston and the City of Bristol. Our professional crew is made up of members of the community as well as surrounding towns.

The department provides around-the-clock emergency medical services to people who live, work, and visit the Town of Plymouth. There are about 30 volunteer EMT's (Emergency Medical Technicians) and EMR's (Emergency Medical Responders). The PVAC Bike Team provides EMS services for events and parades to increase response time in crowded environments.

Anyone wishing to join the Corps or get information about upcoming MRT or EMT classes can call the Corps; visit our website, or stop in at the regular monthly meeting on the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. Membership benefits include training and meal reimbursements, deferred compensation, local tax abatement program, uniforms, equipment, and incentives.
